
Carrie trained at Birmingham Theatre School before completing a degree in Acting at Hull College of Art and Design.
Born and bred in Derbyshire, Carrie has worked extensively in the Midlands, performing at venues including Buxton Opera House, Derby Theatre, Lichfield Garrick and Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre. Now based in London, she still has strong links with companies in the East Midlands, regularly performing Murder Mysteries with Derby theatre company Big Adventures, with whom she has worked on a variety of theatre productions over the past ten years.
Carrie’s work in theatre has been wide ranging, playing a variety of roles, and she is particularly experienced in children’s theatre, familiar with playing high energy characters and comedic roles. She is also skilled in devising and recently created an original family show in collaboration with Ruffians Theatre, which was shown at Nottingham Playhouse in October 2018 as part of the Amplify Festival.
Credits include Shakespearience Live! (Underbelly Southbank and Leicester Square), The 39 Steps (Guildhall Theatre), Much Ado About Nothing (RSC’s The Dell), Alice’s Adventures Underground (The Vaults), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (National Open Air Tour) and The Importance of Being Earnest (Robert Ludlam Theatre). Film and TV credits include Flowers (Channel 4) and the role of Titus Andronicus in Hark, Villains! which was selected for the London Short Film Festival 2017.
