
Hugo Myatt
Hugo is a director, actor and voice-over artiste and is best known as Treguard in eight series of Knightmare. He is a versatile and experienced actor whose work spans film, television and stage.
Like many actors of his generation, his early work was in rep which saw him perform a diverse range of parts. Favourite stage roles include Frank in Educating Rita, Roly in Taking Steps, David Bliss in Hay Fever, Bill in An Evening with Gary Lineker and Uncle Freddie in Bent.
His film work includes Carter in Vendetta, Leon Blanc in Snuff-Movie, Richard Byrne in The Shadow of Bigfoot, PC Proctor in Red Mercury, and Rev. Vester in Dead Cert, and voices for the big budget puppet animation movie Strings and the cult movie Human Traffic.
Hugo has played a variety of parts in television, from Count Vlad in Chucklevision for BBC, and Captain Blackbeard in Cyberstar for Buena Vista Productions, through Derek Rogers in The Derek Rogers Story for BBC, to Stephanous in series 1-5 of The Ancient Greeks for BBC and Treguard in all eight series of Knightmare for ITV.
Voice-overs and narration have increasingly been a component of Hugo’s work. Documentaries include narration as Baron von Richthofen in The Red Baron and the narration of The Turin Shroud. Voice-overs include Darland in Doctor Who, Arcadian in Gallifrey, The Passenger in Sapphire and Steel, and, most recently, General Khazimov in the hit mobile phone app Zombies, Run!
