Victoria Porter is in the first play of the London Repertory Players 2019 season at the Shelley Theatre near Bournemouth. http://shelleytheatre.co.uk/
It’s three of the Talking Heads monologues by the wonderful Alan Bennett and Victoria performs the piece in which Maggie Smith originally played the lonely vicar’s wife: Bed Among the Lentils.
Scene One Plus said: “Victoria Porter’s portrayal was seamless. Everything she did, every mannerism, every reflective pause … took us on a journey. She had me laughing out loud and crying … brilliant.”
Bournemouth Echo said: “The pieces demand first class acting, and they get it from these players. Exceptional performances.”
Victoria will be appearing in two other plays later in the season, Francis Durbridge’s House Guest and Murder Mistaken by Janet Green. Neil James will be joining her for these thrillers and we look forward to seeing them both.
